I’ve loved fashion for as long as I can remember. I studied art with the dream of working in fashion or culture, but life had other plans and led me to a different kind of care : becoming a baby nurse.
Then came my daughter, Rita Rosa, and my son, Pavel. When we lived in France, it was easy to find beautiful, unique clothes for them , pieces with personality, made from real cotton, found in thrift shops or secondhand markets. Dressing my kids felt joyful and creative.
When we moved to the U.S., I continued my work as a birth doula, but I started to struggle finding clothes that felt right stylish yet comfortable, timeless. So much of what I found was either cheap polyester or overly stereotyped: dinosaurs for boys and tutus for girls. (Hello… it’s 2025!)
I kept dreaming of creating something different a space for parents who love fashion, quality, and individuality as much as I do. After the home birth of my youngest daughter, Bianca-Luz, I felt deeply empowered to finally follow that dream and reconnect with the creative part of myself.
It all began when I started curating pieces from France for my own children, with my mom sending them over to Los Angeles. One day, I realized : this is it. This is what I want to share with other families.
And that’s how CIMER was born : a curated selection of French secondhand kids’ clothes, handpicked with love, care, and a belief that style and sustainability can live beautifully together.
